Job Description

  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements specific to the insurance industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and validate financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on financial reporting matters to the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for statutory filings.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Statutory Accountant should have:

  • Professional accounting qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in statutory financial reporting and compliance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the insurance industry.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the Accounting & Finance team.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
