Job Description

  • Oversee daily operations within the Manufacturing departments, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • To drive a Manufacturing Excellence continuous improvement culture to deliver sustained performance improvements.
  • The role has full responsibility for the site facilities and services across Manufacturing, Engineering, H&S, Quality and CI
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations within the workplace.
  • Identify and deliver the site manufacturing revenue and capital budgets and manage revenue expenditure to ensure budget targets are achieved.
  • Lead and engage the senior leadership team to deliver the annual HSE plan and drive the HSE culture change through team engagement, involvement and responsibility for HSE activities.
  • Analyse operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the development and training of the senior leadership team to enhance skills and capabilities.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Site General Manager should have:

  • Proven track record as a Site General Manager or Senior Operations Director within the FMCG sector.
  • A strong background in engineering or manufacturing within the FMCG industry would be beneficial.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams effectively.
  • A track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management in an operational setting.
