Job Description

  • Manage and grow specification‑led sales across an assigned regional territory
  • Build strong relationships with architects, consultants, M&E engineers, contractors, and end users
  • Specify products into public and commercial building projects
  • Track projects from early design stage through to installation and handover
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors and installer partners
  • Deliver product presentations and technical training to customers and specifiers
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Plan and organise your territory strategically to maximise coverage and impact
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales activity reports
  • Represent the business professionally as a trusted technical sales partner

The Successful Applicant

A successful Specification Sales Manager should have:

  • A driven, results‑focused sales professional with a strong hunter mentality
  • Proven experience winning new business in a field‑based sales role
  • Backgrounds from outside the sector are welcome, including FMCG, consumables, or other high‑activity sales environments
  • Confident building relationships, influencing decision‑makers, and managing a sales territory
  • Organised, self‑motivated, and comfortable working autonomously
  • Eager to learn technical products and develop within a specification‑led sales environment

  • Basic salary: £50,000-£55,000 (experience dependent)
  • Guaranteed bonus: £8,300 in year one
