Job Description

  • Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide advice on VAT-related matters to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in VAT legislation and assess their impact on the business.
  • Support the accounting and finance department in VAT reconciliations and audits.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for VAT compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and tax authorities as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in VAT reporting and compliance.
  • Provide training and support to staff on VAT-related topics.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VAT Accountant should have:

  • Professional qualifications in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in the industrial or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
