Global recruitment specialist, PageGroup has reached number 70 on the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, an evidence-based benchmarking tool used to assess achievements and progress on LGBT inclusion in the workplace.
This considerable progression of 83 places since last year has allowed PageGroup to reach the Top 100 list of leading employers for LGBT people, making it the highest ranked recruitment consultancy in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index. PageGroup’s progress in raising awareness will also inspire more recruitment organisations to increase their efforts in LGBT inclusion.
Leading the initiative, Sheri Hughes, UK Director of Diversity & Inclusion at PageGroup, commented:
“Becoming the first recruitment company to be positioned so high in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index is a tremendous achievement for PageGroup. Being in the Top 100 has always been our goal, and this progression is proof of the tremendous commitment PageGroup has made to diversity in its workforce.
We are immensely proud of this achievement, and with this success, we are determined to promote best practice to all the businesses we work with, and set a positive example throughout the recruitment sector.”
Commenting on PageGroup’s progress, Darren Towers, Executive Director at Stonewall, said:
“PageGroup and all those who have made this year’s Top 100 Employers list have done a fantastic job. Taking part in our Index shows real commitment to understanding and advancing LGBT equality. This year, for the first time, the Index looked at what employers were doing for trans equality in the workplace. This work is crucial.”
