London, Wednesday 25th April 2018 - Today, Global recruitment specialist PageGroup was named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2018.
This unranked list celebrates UK employers that are building gender equality into their business strategy, having committed to creating inclusive workplace cultures and actively encouraged women’s progression at work.
PageGroup has seen tremendous improvements since the launch of its Women@Page network in 2012, which aims to create a more inclusive working environment, helping increase its numbers of female senior leaders, and demonstrating its commitment to gender balance.
As part of the network, its established maternity coaching programme has allowed the business to increase maternity return rates from 76% to 90%. Its mentoring programme has also been a key driver in retaining female employees at Manager and Director levels, and in the UK, PageGroup has seen an increase in its female Director population from 25% in 2012 to 41% in 2017.
Sarah Kirk, Global Diversity and Inclusion director at PageGroup, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women list. Being inclusive and achieving gender equality is not just an item on our to-do list, and this achievement is proof of our commitment to continuously improving our work culture. More and more people are choosing a career in recruitment, and as we are extremely proud of this success, we also hope it will inspire other organisations in our sector to prioritise gender equality.”
Chloe Chambraud, Gender Equality Director, Business in the Community, commented: “Well done to PageGroup on being named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2018 - the process was highly competitive so they should be very proud of their success. Their efforts are enabling women and men to contribute equally to society, and I hope other organisations will learn from their example.”
