I joined Michael Page in the UK as a Manager from a competitor in 2008. I wanted to join a company that not only had a great reputation as a recruiter but that could give me opportunities to advance my career and ideally give me the opportunity to share the experience of living and working abroad with my young family. I was fortunate enough to earn promotion to Director, to lead various teams and businesses across the SouthEast of England and then in 2014 I was asked if I’d consider a move to Canada.

Together with my wife and three children we jumped on the plan and had an absolute blast. I worked with some really great people and the whole family had the most amazing time enjoying all North America has to offer – skiing every weekend from November to May, hiking up mountains from June to October, kayaking in the most incredible lakes, being introduced to “real” hockey with trips to the likes of Las Vegas, Vancouver, New York and Mexico. As the children got older we decided the right thing for the family was to move back to the UK and since coming back I’ve seen further promotion, taken responsibility for new disciplines and 14 years on am still learning and looking forwards to the next challenge Page has to throw at me.
