Our client's challenge 

Our client, an NHS Trust and one of England’s largest acute teaching trusts, was looking for a fully managed service to deliver the rollout of a programme deploying a number of updated units across the Trust’s asset base of 190 plus locations in the Midlands. The partner was required to not only manage fixed locations, but also mobile nursing staff with a completed delivery date of August 2024, ensuring speed of response, flexibility, cost effectiveness, high ROI and accelerated technology adoption.

How Michael Page Consulting helped

Michael Page Consulting delivered a fully managed service covering build, logistics, installation and deployment across the full client estate, supporting 27 x 7 hospitals, high security locations (HM prisons & secure hospital units) and mobile staff. With full end-to-end project management of the deliverables and milestones, the team owned the build of the hardware with updated Trust images and managed the redundant hardware, including secure destruction / reimaging. We further maintained the inventory for the Trust with a range of third-party suppliers and ensured the updating and revising of their CMDB asset database. Our program had a strong risk mitigation plan in place which we communicated jointly with our client, allowing us to provide an agile solution as and when change inevitably impacted a blue light service. Combined with reporting dashboards and weekly ‘deliverables’ meetings, Michael Page Consulting’s blended team of highly capable consultants resulted in the successful delivery of the programme, with managed deployment across an asset base of 12,000 plus units.
