As an Accounts Payable Clerk you will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, ensuring accurate payments, and maintaining financial records. (Inventory) This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the Accounting & Finance department.

Job Description

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments in line with company policies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage inventory Payments
  • Invoices are captured, validated, and matched against purchase orders, with the liability recorded until payment
  • Maintain accurate financial records and update the accounting system as required.
  • Assist in preparing payment runs and reviewing payment approvals.
  • Handle queries from suppliers and internal teams regarding accounts payable matters.
  • Support month-end closing activities and generate required reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to improve processes and efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

  • Prior experience in accounts payable or a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Exposure to AP automation & system migrations would be beneficial as opportunity assist with new system set up.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach
