Job Description

  • Process and review supplier invoices and employee expenses, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounts payable records across multiple entities.
  • Perform supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and support timely payment runs, collaborating with internal teams.
  • Assist with month-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting support.
  • Maintain organised documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Respond to vendor queries professionally and build strong relationships.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency in a high-volume environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Specialist should have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable within a financial services or similar environment.
  • AAT Level 2 (or higher) qualification.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including VAT.
  • Experience working in high-volume, multi-entity environments.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Clear communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a structured team.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
