Job Description

The key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Supervisor will include:

  • Supervise the accounts payable team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Review and reconcile supplier statements to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the preparation of payment runs.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and address queries professionally and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Supervisor should have:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role ideally with experience supervising a team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and internal control practices.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks
