Job Description

The Accounts Payable professional will;

  • Process high volume supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date and organised accounts payable records.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing payment runs and ensuring compliance with payment terms.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to address queries and issues.
  • Support month-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with the wider Accounting & Finance team on ad-hoc tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable professional should have:

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial records.
  • Experience in accounts payable or a similar role within the retail industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and team members.
  • An understanding of accounting principles and practices.
