Job Description

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal postings, accruals and prepayments.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and external audit requirements.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and treasury management activities.
  • Analyse financial data and provide commentary on variances against budget and forecast.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Liaise with operational and non-finance stakeholders to gather information and support financial decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial controls, processes and reporting.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from senior management.
  • Provide support and guidance to transactional finance teams where required.
  • Contribute to internal control processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.



The Successful Applicant

  • Studying towards, or looking to commence, a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) or qualified by experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, Sage Intacct would be advantageous.
  • An organised approach to managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Previous experience within an accounting or finance function.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business.
