The Assistant Accountant will support the accounting and finance team in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Job Description

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor and process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
  • Provide support in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
