Job Description

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and regulatory reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing and payment runs.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with other tax and compliance-related requirements.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to provide accurate financial information and reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and control environments.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant must have:

  • A relevant degree, with a 2:1 preferred.
  • Be part-qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Recent experience within Financial Services, ideally within Wealth Management, Investment Management, Asset Management, or a related environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end accounting processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting or finance systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across the business.
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to develop within a high-performing finance function.
