We're seeking an adaptable and dynamic part-qualified/QBE accounting professional for a exciting role in an ambitious, high-growth construction business. This is a key role in a small finance function, working closely with both the FC and FD to deliver on all key aspects of reporting.

Job Description

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial operations.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in managing audits and liaising with external auditors.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Financial Controller should have:

  • A strong background in accounting and finance.
  • Experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • QBE/Part-Qualified in ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to improving financial processes.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
