We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance team within the Not For Profit industry. This role will be based in Chorley and is ideal for someone with a passion for finance and attention to detail.

Job Description

  • Prepare and manage financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and audits.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets.
  • Provide financial analysis to aid decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support financial operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
  • Prior experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
