Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate data analysis.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies where necessary.
  • Contribute to the processing of accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making within the environmental services sector.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Work closely with the team to improve financial processes and reporting systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

  • A relevant qualification or progress towards a recognised accounting certification.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in the environmental services industry is desirable but not essential.
