Job Description

  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure stock levels meet customer demand and sales targets.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for maximising revenue.
  • Assist in planning and forecasting stock requirements for upcoming seasons and promotions.
  • Monitor stock performance and take necessary actions to optimise inventory levels.
  • Support the preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products to stores or distribution centres.
  • Work closely with the buying team to maintain a cohesive product range.
  • Provide administrative support for the merchandising team as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Merchandiser should have:

  • Experience or education in retail, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
