As an established practice with a broad suite of corporate services, they combine technical strength with a modern, collaborative culture designed to help people thrive.Job DescriptionLead and manage audit engagements and accounts across a varied client portfolio, including substantial work with charity and not‑for‑profit organisations.Take ownership of the full audit process - planning, risk assessment, fieldwork and completion - ensuring technical excellence and full compliance throughout.Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, trustees and senior stakeholders, offering clear explanations and practical, sector‑aware advice.Prepare and review audit files, statutory accounts and detailed management reports, delivering recommendations tailored to each organisation's needs.Play a key role in developing the firm's charity audit approach, enhancing methodology, internal knowledge resources and responses to regulatory changes.Mentor and supervise trainees and newly qualified team members, reviewing their work and supporting their technical growth.Contribute to business development by building relationships within the charity sector, supporting tender activity and identifying opportunities to add value.Work collaboratively across the group to strengthen processes, client service and resource planning.Maintain accurate billing, time management and documentation across all engagements.The Successful ApplicantA successful Audit Senior should have:Experience working with a portfolio that includes charities, or a genuine motivation to specialise in charity‑sector audits.Strong technical audit skills and a solid understanding of Charities SORP, or a clear commitment to developing this expertise quickly.Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with trustees, CEOs and non‑financial stakeholders.Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAEW) with strong post‑qualification audit experience.Demonstrated ability to lead assignments, manage deadlines and review the work of junior team members.Commercially aware, with an understanding of the pressures and challenges facing both charities and SMEs.What's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from £48,000 to £53,000 per annum, depending on background and experience.Permanent role within an award winning firm of chartered accountants.Opportunities for career progression and professional development.Supportive and collaborative work environment in Bristol.Comprehensive benefits package (details to be confirmed).If you are an experienced Audit Senior with a passion for accounting and finance, this role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career.
