A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Complaints Paralegal to join a well regarded housing business in a hybrid interim role. This is a hands on 3 month assignment for someone who can start immediately and confidently manage housing complaints from investigation through to resolution, while supporting wider litigation and case preparation.

Job Description

The Complaints Paralegal will be:

  • Handling complaint cases coming into the business with a high degree of autonomy
  • Investigating housing complaints matters from initial review through to resolution
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather evidence and facts
  • Drafting clear, accurate correspondence and concise case summaries
  • Advising on next steps, risk points and resolution strategies
  • Managing a busy caseload effectively within agreed timescales
  • Supporting senior lawyers with documentation and case preparation
  • Maintaining accurate records, files and case management information
  • Helping ensure complaints are progressed consistently and professionally
  • Contributing to a responsive and customer focused approach across the function

The Successful Applicant

The Complaints Paralegal should be:

  • A paralegal or equivalent with proven experience in complaints handling, housing disputes, or civil litigation
  • Confident managing cases with minimal supervision
  • Experienced in investigating matters end to end and producing well structured written work
  • Comfortable dealing with internal stakeholders and external parties
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Able to start immediately or at very short notice
  • Ideally experienced within a housing, property or regulated complaints environment
