Working closely with the senior Knowledge Lawyer and reporting to the Corporate Practice Group Head, you will play a central role in supporting transactional and advisory work across the team.Your focus will include mid-market M&A, corporate restructurings, governance and general corporate matters. Alongside your legal expertise, you will play a key role in embedding legal technology and AI tools, helping to drive efficiency, consistency and innovation across the practice.This position offers the opportunity to influence how knowledge is created, shared and applied, while promoting best practice and improving client outcomes. The firm operates a flexible hybrid working model, with a minimum office presence each week.Key responsibilitiesKnowledge & know-howDraft and maintain precedents, templates and guidance notesMonitor legal developments and share insights internally and externallyAdvise lawyers on technical legal queries and market practiceAct as a sounding board for complex legal and transactional issuesMaintain and develop knowledge repositories and encourage contributionsTraining & developmentIdentify training needs across all levels of the teamDesign and deliver engaging training programmesSupport trainee development and onboarding of new joinersProduce high-quality training materials and resourcesManage and support the team's Learning & Development planResearch & supportConduct in-depth legal research on corporate law mattersSupport business development initiatives and client-facing contentContribute to client training and thought leadershipAssist with strategy planning and practice group initiativesTechnology & innovationDrive adoption of legal technology tools, including AI platformsStructure and maintain data for AI usability (precedents, metadata, repositories)Support knowledge management systems and centralisation initiativesCollaborate on innovation strategy and implementation of new toolsPromote a culture of continuous improvement and tech-enabled deliverySupport data governance, confidentiality and ethical AI usageThe Successful ApplicantExperience and skillsTechnical requirementsQualified solicitor with strong corporate law experienceIdeally an established Knowledge Lawyer, or a 5+ PQE corporate lawyer seeking to transitionStrong experience in M&A and corporate transactions (desirable)Excellent legal research and drafting skillsCore competenciesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to influence and build credibility across all levelsHigh attention to detail and organisationExperience delivering training and presenting to varied audiencesStrong commercial awarenessDemonstrable interest in legal technology and innovationCollaborative, proactive and solutions-focused mindsetThis role is best suited for candidates based in South West London or the South West.
