Job Description

Legal and Market Developments

  • Maintain responsibility for keeping the Corporate team updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments.
  • Ensure precedents are current, accurate, and responsive to both market and legal changes.



Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of client seminars and training sessions.
  • Provide training to trainees, including an introduction to the types of work they will encounter during their corporate seats.
  • Deliver basic training on English corporate law to colleagues in international offices and to the company secretarial team.



Legal Technology

  • Support the development and adoption of legal technology within the Corporate practice, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Promote best practice in relation to legal tech tools and knowledge systems.



Cross‑Team Collaboration

  • Contribute to developing innovative ways of working and improving the delivery of legal services.
  • Work closely with colleagues across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong theoretical, practical, and up‑to‑date knowledge of UK company law and corporate practice, underpinned by suitable post‑qualification experience gained in private practice or in‑house.
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: mergers and acquisitions (public or private), equity capital markets, private equity or venture capital.
  • A client‑focused and international outlook, with an ability to think creatively about business opportunities and training needs.
  • High proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with legal AI technologies (e.g., Harvey, Legora) is desirable.
