About Our Client

The Customs and Trade Compliance Specialist will be working for an FMCG business based in Cambridgeshire.

Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws across all operations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations and related documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in customs and trade compliance regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics processes.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customs authorities and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and improve internal compliance procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues on trade compliance matters.
  • Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Customs and Trade Compliance Specialist should have:

  • Experience in customs and trade compliance within the retail or logistics sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and trade documentation requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems used in trade compliance processes.

What's on Offer

  • Salary ranging from £36,000 to £40,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Hybrid working, with 2-3 days per week from home.
