As a Shift Manager you will oversee daily operations in the Distribution Centre to ensure efficiency and compliance in the operation. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in warehouse/distribution and proven leadership abilities.
  • Day and Back Shift rotational role 5 over 7 Sunday to Friday

Job Description

  • Manage and coordinate daily distribution operations to ensure timely and efficient processes.
  • Achieve kpi performance and productivity standards for warehouse/distribution activities through proactive management of shift resources.
  • Supervise, coach, develop and lead a team
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure proper documentation of all activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimise workflow and communication.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on operational performance.
  • Ensure the smooth running of operations during assigned shifts in Glasgow.
  • Participate and lead in CI projects including implementation of new WHM system



The Successful Applicant

A successful Shift Manager should have:

  • Experience in distribution, warehouse and/or logistics.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the logistics sector.
  • Proficiency in using relevant systems and software for Warehouse Management/Inventory and operations management
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Capability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions.
