This role focuses on improving the reliability and performance of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) assets by combining hands-on technical work with reliability engineering and continuous improvement. It supports safe and efficient operations through failure analysis, asset strategy development, and close collaboration with maintenance and project teams.

Michael Page is delighted to be working with a leading global manufacturing business to recruit an Electrical Reliability Lead for their Hull based site. Established over 150yrs ago, this organisation operates in 70 countries worldwide and is committed to innovation and sustainability.

Job Description

  • Review equipment logs, breakdown records, and historical data to identify recurring faults and trends
  • Proactively lead initiatives to eliminate repeat failures and improve asset reliability
  • Develop and execute reliability strategies for specific equipment and systems
  • Deliver training to maintenance teams on new equipment, methods, and emerging technologies
  • Manage maintenance-driven projects (primarily OpEx, with occasional transition into CapEx)
  • Provide subject matter expertise on site CapEx projects, ensuring alignment with maintenance needs
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Coordinator, Planner, and Scheduler to implement solutions through established processes
  • Offer technical support during critical or emergency situations, including standby when required

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have a strong Education and Technical Background within Electrical and Automation Engineering

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control & Automation, or similar
  • Strong hands-on E&I background (technician or engineer level)
  • High Voltage (HV) experience - highly valued
  • Ability to read and edit electrical drawings
  • Experience working with CMMS - SAP (essential/desirable depending on candidate)
  • Experience with PI System (historian) - beneficial
