Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising sales invoices and credit notes
  • Allocating customer receipts and maintaining the sales ledger
  • Reconciling sales ledger accounts
  • Cashbook management and reconciliation
  • Posting cash receipts and banking transactions
  • Marketplace sales reconciliations across multiple data sources
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies and variances
  • Expense reconciliations
  • Petty cash management and reconciliation
  • Supporting the Purchase Ledger function
  • Working with large datasets and Excel-based reports
  • Assisting with process improvements and automation initiatives



The Successful Applicant

About YouWe're looking for a proactive and adaptable individual who enjoys working with numbers and thrives in a busy environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
  • You will be happy being onsite 5 days per week in Birmingham
  • Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Confidence working with multiple data sets and reconciliations
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
  • The ability to work independently and investigate issues
  • A desire to study towards an accounting qualification



Desirable:

  • Experience using Pegasus Opera
  • Knowledge of SUMIFS and more advanced Excel functions

  • Salary between £30,000 and £34,000, dependent on the level of experience.

  • Fully office based Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm
