Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you'll work closely with Heads of Service and operational teams, providing expert financial support, analysis, and challenge to help drive financial performance, value for money, and informed decision-making.

Michael Page is recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for a Housing Association in the South West.

Job Description

  • Produce monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis to agreed deadlines for all Group companies.
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts and rolling budgets.
  • Oversee general ledger integrity, including control account reconciliations, corrections, and adjustments.
  • Provide tailored monthly budget reports and meet with budget holders to review variances, cost control, and grant-related expenditure and identify opportunities for efficiencies and solutions. Offer training where needed.
  • Support the annual budget process, engaging managers, preparing schedules, and coordinating SLT review.
  • Assist with year-end financial statements and external audit.



The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified (or studying towards qualification) accountant with CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience building effective relationships across operational teams.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems skills, with a proactive approach to improving processes and driving value for money.
