Job Description

  • Leverage AI and large language model (LLM) technologies to enhance data analysis, automate recurring reporting tasks, draft clear communications, and support research initiatives across finance and operations.
  • Maintain, refine, and further develop existing Power BI dashboards and data models built on Charge Detail Record (CDR) data sourced from the company's data lake.
  • Design and build new reports and visualisations to monitor key operational metrics.
  • Utilise the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem to transform raw datasets into actionable insights for both the finance and commercial teams.
  • Partner with the outsourced data engineering function to uphold data quality standards and ensure the reliability of data pipelines.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc analytical and reporting requests from the CFO and broader leadership team, delivering high‑quality outputs at pace.
  • Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping in Xero across multiple group entities, covering purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and general transaction processing.
  • Contribute to the monthly close process by preparing journals, accruals, prepayments, and completing accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process supplier invoices through Dext, ensuring correct coding to the chart of accounts and maintaining high data accuracy.
  • Administer financial workflows and operational data within Sitetracker (Salesforce), used as the business's ERP platform.
  • Use WorkflowMax to monitor construction work‑in‑progress (WIP) and track warehouse inventory balances.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L packs and detailed variance commentary for the CFO, along with concise, board‑ready narratives covering portfolio sales, utilisation performance, fault metrics, and charger uptime.
  • Produce operational performance reports that integrate both financial and non‑financial data to provide a holistic view of business performance.
  • Oversee vendor and supplier management end‑to‑end, including resolving invoice disputes, reconciling credit notes, and executing payment runs across multiple banking platforms

The Successful Applicant

  • Proactively leverage AI and large language model (LLM) tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance analysis, streamline reporting, and draft clear, effective communications.
  • Practical, hands‑on experience with Power BI, including report development, DAX calculations, and data modelling.
  • Awareness of the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem or similar modern data platform environments.
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet capabilities, with solid grounding in financial analysis.
  • A genuine interest in accounting and a willingness to build and develop bookkeeping skills (full training provided).
  • An analytical, detail‑oriented mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to communicate insights and findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
