Job Description



  • We are seeking a strategic and analytical Finance Manager to join a high performing finance team. In this role, you will act as a key financial advisor to logistics and supply chain operations. You will bridge the gap between finance and operations, providing deep financial insights, driving cost-efficiency, and helping leadership make data-driven decisions to optimise freight, warehousing, and distribution networks.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Financial Performance Analysis: Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly logistics KPIs (e.g., cost-per-unit, freight spend, warehousing efficiency) and explain variance drivers to operational leaders.


    • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for all logistics and supply chain cost centres, ensuring alignment with overall company financial goals.


    • Cost Optimisation & ROI: Identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities, network optimisations, and capital expenditures (e.g., warehouse automation, fleet upgrades) by building robust business cases and ROI models.


    • Carrier & Vendor Financial Management: Partner with procurement to review logistics contracts, analyse vendor pricing structures, and assess the financial impact of carrier rate changes or service level agreements.


    • Month-End Close Support: Collaborate with the accounting team during the month-end close to ensure accurate accruals, journal entries, and P&L reviews for logistics operations.


    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain managers, warehouse supervisors, and procurement teams to foster a culture of financial accountability and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a Qualified or QBE Finance Manager with experience in supporting Logistics / Supply Chain operations, strong FP&A skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
