Job Description

  • Prepare and manage financial statements, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with external auditors and ensure audit readiness at all times.
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and processes within the organisation.
  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for various departments.
  • Support the wider accounting & finance team in ad hoc financial projects and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting and compliance within a relevant industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience in the technology & telecoms sector is desirable but not essential.
