Job Description

WOULD SUIT:

  • Someone from Big 4 Audit or Top 60 Practice with Bank/Lender Audits;
  • OR someone already in-house at a lender thinking about their first or second step.



  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements (ifrs, gaap).
  • High-level regulatory returns (template driven so no expertise needed).
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain and update financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis for decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances for management review.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning activities.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records through effective controls and checks.

City of London location - 4 days in the office

The Successful Applicant

WOULD SUIT:

  • Someone from Big 4 Audit or Top 60 Practice with Bank/Lender Audits;
  • OR someone already in-house at a lender thinking about their first or second step.

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.

City of London location - 4 days in the office
