This Financial Accountant role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting key processes such as month-end, statutory accounts and audit, while ensuring strong financial controls.You will work closely with senior stakeholders to improve processes, support compliance and provide reliable financial insight to help drive business decision-making in a high-growth environment.

Job Description

  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end and year-end closes, including journals, reconciliations and reporting packs
  • Maintain general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations and cash/bank processes
  • Support statutory reporting (FRS 102), technical accounting and group consolidation
  • Assist with audit processes, ensuring strong documentation, controls and compliance
  • Support tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax and filings
  • Manage payroll reconciliations and statutory deductions
  • Own the finance reporting timetable and ensure deadlines are met
  • Drive process improvements, controls and system enhancements
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to support financial insight and decision-making

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • Newly qualified ACA / ACCA (0-2 years PQE) with a strong grounding in financial reporting, audit or financial control
  • Good working knowledge of FRS 102 and statutory accounting
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
  • High level of attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
  • Proactive, organised and self-motivated, with a desire to learn and make an impact
