Job Description

  • Leading the Business Partnering and Transaction Team, developing and mentoring reports through clear Objectives and regular check-ins
  • Accountability of full, accurate, insightful and timely board reporting for sign off
  • Ownership of 3rd party board pack reporting, producing excellence and being a key Business Partner to them
  • Consistent, accurate and timely reporting to both internal and external key stakeholders on ad hoc projects and business case performance, using financial insights to drive outcomes
  • Ownership of a clear and aligned process for month end close
  • Managing effective communication with Operations, supporting the Regional Business Partners to lead the monthly performance meetings, driving insightful output
  • Driving the budgeting and reforecasting process, bridging Finance and Operations. Providing healthy challenge across the Group to ensure realistic, challenging budgets.
  • Leading Budget meetings within the Resource Hub, providing key stakeholders with updated financials and performance against budget

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced knowledge of Excel.
