Job Description

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Organise regular maintenance and servicing schedules for all vehicles.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations.
  • Oversee vehicle procurement, replacements and disposals as needed.
  • Track and analyse fleet performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to optimise vehicle usage and minimise downtime.
  • Manage budgets related to fleet operations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure the safety and training of drivers and other fleet-related personnel.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Fleet Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in fleet management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing maintenance schedules and vehicle procurement.
  • Proficiency in analysing fleet performance data and implementing improvements.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with drivers and logistics teams effectively.
  • A proactive approach to ensuring the safety and training of staff.
