Job Description

  • Monitor financial processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.▪ Lead the annual budget and reforecast processes. Work collaboratively across departments to gather data, set assumptions and provide actionable insights to guide decisions.
  • Build the framework for collecting, collating and communicating whole organisation budget and forecast business information.
  • Take overall responsibility for the development and delivery of regular financial management information for a range of stakeholders.
  • Develop organisational forward-looking capabilities in financial analysis to meet good practice, including across income and expenditure, project and fund accounting, and cashflow analysis, to enable
  • Actively engage in the production of key financial reports and analyses, ensuring a hands-on approach to delivering accurate and timely information that supports decision-making.
  • Lead engagement with all users of financial information, ensuring financial planning and analysis meets evolving organisational needs and good practice, and direct appropriate support from the Finance Business Partners to implement that work.
  • Manage restricted fund accounting and ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting to enable grant applications and reporting in compliance with Charity and other regulation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful FP&A Manager should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in or with the not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
