The business employs around 1,750 people across c.60 locations and is investing in its people strategy, culture, leadership capability and ESG agenda as part of its next phase of growth.Job DescriptionLead the Group-wide people development strategy across EDI, Great Place to Work and Learning & DevelopmentOwn and drive the Great Place to Work agenda, employee engagement and culture initiativesDesign and deliver leadership development, succession planning and future talent programmesDevelop and embed the Group EDI strategy, tracking progress and advising senior stakeholdersImprove utilisation of the Apprenticeship Levy and oversee group-wide L&D activityReview and standardise group induction and onboarding processesPartner with senior leaders and influence stakeholders across a multi-site organisationManage budgets, contribute to ESG initiatives, and support wider people projectsThe Successful ApplicantA successful Group People and Development Manager should have:Experienced in designing and delivering leadership development and succession planning programmesStrong knowledge of EDI principles with experience embedding inclusive practices across the businessSkilled in using employee engagement tools to shape culture and achieve Great Place to Work certificationConfident influencing and advising senior stakeholders across multiple sitesAble to analyse workforce data and translate insights into actionable people strategiesExperience in managing the Apprenticeship Levy or similar learning and development budgetsProactive and visible, able to lead group-wide initiatives from strategy to deliveryExcellent communicator with the ability to present to senior leadership and drive meaningful changeWhat's on OfferSalary up to £50,000Car allowance of £6,000Bonus based on profit and performancePension contribution of 5% plus flexible benefits36.25-hour working week with flexi-time4 days per week in the officeMonthly UK travel with flexibility for overnight stays if requiredOpportunity to shape a newly created, high-impact role across a multi-site organisationSenior stakeholder exposure and the chance to influence culture, EDI, and leadership development at scaleThis is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organisation in the FMCG industry.
