Job Description

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the business objectives.
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the technology department.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and efficiency of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals to achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technological requirements.
  • Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to support business growth in the manufacturing sector.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of IT should have:

  • A strong background in IT management
  • Strong background with ERP systems ideally (INFOR ERP system)
  • Maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud systems, backups, and security tools.
  • Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and backed up appropriately.
  • Monitor cybersecurity risks and help maintain strong controls around passwords, access, email security, data protection, and user permissions.
  • Manage Microsoft 365, email accounts, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other business systems.
  • Proven experience in leading technology teams and managing IT projects.
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, systems, and security management.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align IT goals with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
