Job Description

The In-house Housing Solicitor will be:

  • Managing a varied caseload of housing management matters, including anti-social behaviour litigation.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on tenancy enforcement, possession proceedings and housing law issues.
  • Representing the organisation in legal proceedings and working closely with external counsel where required.
  • Supporting operational teams with proactive legal advice to minimise risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assisting with the development of policies, procedures and best practice across housing management functions.

The Successful Applicant

The In-house Housing Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with ideally 2+ years' PQE in housing litigation and housing management matters.
  • Experienced in anti-social behaviour injunctions, possession proceedings and tenancy enforcement.
  • Knowledgeable in housing law, relevant legislation and court procedures.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical, solutions-focused advice.
  • An excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to manage a busy caseload independently while working collaboratively within a wider team.
