The company operates with a dedicated team and offers a collaborative working environment.Job DescriptionSupport the People Business Manager in delivering a high-quality, effective people service across the Region, engaging all primarily employees, while also supporting volunteers-to drive high performance and engagement.Demonstrate and apply the knowledge, skills, and behaviours expected of a best-in-class people function.Ensure all people-related transactions are delivered accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner, including pay and reward, policy application, sickness absence, occupational health, and recruitment.Build strong, trusted relationships across the Region, resolving people-related matters promptly and effectively to support operational excellence.Collaborate with the Regional Volunteering Adviser and central teams to identify and implement policy and ways-of-working improvements that enhance the professionalism of the people function, supporting ambition to be an employer and volunteering organisation of choice.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice across all relevant jurisdictions, supporting continuous personal and team development and ensuring a consistent approach.Ensure people systems are accurately maintained, with reliable and readily accessible data.Actively challenge existing practices, continuously seeking opportunities to improve what we do and how we do it.Work closely with centrally based subject matter experts and peers, operating collaboratively as one team.Promote and champion an inclusive and diverse culture, reinforcing organisations reputation as an employer of choice.Participate in an out-of-hours rota for approximately two weeks per year (up to 8pm on weekdays and 4pm at weekends).Undertake additional ad hoc duties as required.The Successful ApplicantA successful People Advisor should have:Previous experience in Human Resources, ideally within the Not For Profit sector.Full valid UK drivers licence.CIPD Level 3 working towards level 5.Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.Excellent organisational and administrative skills with great attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.Proficiency in using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.A qualification in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.What's on OfferSalary ranging from £35,000 - £40,000, depending on experience.Opportunity to work in a respected Not For Profit organisation.Temporary position based in North West (Wales, Chester, Manchester).A supportive and collaborative work environment.Chance to make a meaningful impact within the organisation.If you are an experienced People Advisor looking to contribute within the Not For Profit sector in the North West, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you.
