About Our Client

Our client is a successful international professional services organisation with a people-first culture and a workforce spanning multiple countries. Following a period of growth and organisational change, they are looking to strengthen their HR team with an individual who is eager to contribute ideas, embrace new technology, and support continuous improvement across the people function. This is a permanent role based in Berkhamsted, with 3 days a week on site. We are also able to consider candidates looking for 4 days per week.

Job Description

The HR Advisor will support the delivery of a broad generalist HR service across a global employee population, partnering with managers and stakeholders to ensure an excellent employee experience.Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and guidance to managers on a range of HR matters.
  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding.
  • Managing employee relations cases, including performance management, absence management, probation reviews and family-friendly policies.
  • Supporting recruitment activities and talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Assisting with learning and development programmes and people-focused projects.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Producing HR reports and supporting workforce planning activities.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple international locations.
  • Supporting the wider HR team with administrative and operational requirements where needed.

The successful candidate will be a confident and organised HR professional who is keen to broaden their experience within a fast-paced and evolving environment.The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience within a generalist HR, recruitment, talent, or people-focused role.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Confidence working with HR systems and digital tools.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with managers and stakeholders.
  • A willingness to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements.
  • A positive attitude and growth mindset.
  • Experience within a private sector environment.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous but is not essential.
