The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the human resources function within the transport & distribution industry. This position, based in Coventry, involves coordinating HR processes and ensuring smooth operations within the department.

They are committed to fostering a productive and organised workplace. They are now seeking a HR Coordinator to join them at their site in Coventry, working on a 12-Month fixed term contract basis.

Job Description

  • Coordinate day-to-day HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Maintain and update HR records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Support payroll processes by providing accurate and timely information to the payroll team.
  • Assist in organising training sessions and development programmes for employees.
  • Provide first-line support for HR-related queries and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related documentation, including contracts and policy updates.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure the smooth implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Support the HR department in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Coordinator should have:

  • Previous experience in an HR-related role within the transport & distribution industry or a similar sector.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or above.
  • A strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with employees and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle confidential information.
