This is a key role in embedding best practice, driving consistency, and supporting operational teams in delivering safe and compliant services.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable H&S professional who enjoys a hands-on, advisory role and is passionate about improving safety culture and outcomes across a large organisation.

Job Description

  • Provide practical H&S advice and support to managers and teams
  • Promote a positive safety and wellbeing culture across the organisation
  • Support and lead on incident investigations, ensuring learnings are embedded
  • Manage RIDDOR and MOR reporting, including external liaison where required
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and ensure actions are tracked to completion
  • Complete and review risk assessments, supporting teams to manage risks effectively
  • Maintain H&S systems, records, and data accuracy
  • Support policy development, training delivery, and H&S communications
  • Partner with HR on employee-related H&S matters
  • Provide reporting, assurance, and support continuous improvement initiatives

The Successful Applicant

  • NEBOSH Certificate (Level 3) essential; working towards Diploma desirable
  • IOSH membership
  • Experience in an H&S Adviser role within housing, property, or similar environments
  • Strong background in incident investigation, audits, and regulatory compliance
  • Good knowledge of H&S legislation, risk assessment, and assurance processes
  • Confident communicator able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound professional judgements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and H&S systems
  • Experience within social housing or property environments
  • Involvement in organisation-wide H&S or culture change initiatives
  • Knowledge of wellbeing and occupational health practices
