Job Description

  • Process import documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of import activities and related costs.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customs clearance.
  • Ensure all import operations adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in preparing reports related to logistics and import activities.
  • Support the logistics team with administrative tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Interim Import Clerk should have:

  • Previous experience in import operations within the logistics or FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of customs procedures and import documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in using logistics and shipping software tools.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Available immediately or on short notice to start a new role
