As an Interim Credit Controller in the retail sector, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth cash flow by managing customer accounts and following up on outstanding payments. Based in Swindon, this temporary role involves maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting team with credit control tasks.

Job Description

  • Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Follow up on overdue invoices and handle payment queries.
  • Maintain accurate records of payments and account statuses.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports related to credit control activities.
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
  • Support the wider accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Credit Controller should have:

  • Previous experience in credit control or a related accounting role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to resolving payment issues.

What's on Offer

  • An hourly rate of £14.00-£17.00, dependent on the level of experience.
