Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to improve business performance.
  • Oversee VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
  • Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the finance team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
  • Proven experience in financial accounting within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
