Interim Head of Procurement

Nottingham Temporary £675 - £750 per day View Job Description
The purpose of the interim assignment is to create, a practical and robust procurement platform that gives the business immediate visibility, control and direction over supplier spend and contract commitments. The interim will complete a full review of current contracts, supplier terms, pricing mechanisms, renewal dates, service levels, commercial risks, termination rights, indexation clauses, compliance requirements and value improvement opportunities.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to support business operations.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Manage procurement budgets and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and fulfil procurement needs.
  • Resolve any issues related to supplier performance or delivery delays.

The Successful Applicant

You will be an experienced Procurement Lead/Leader, along with:

  • Proven experience in procurement within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and relevant industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in analysing data and managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
