Job Description

The Interim Information Governance / Data Protection Manager

  • Develop and implement information governance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and other legal requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on information governance matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Clear a back log of DPIAs
  • Undertake LIAs
  • Manage the ROPA as a priority
  • Conduct audits to assess compliance with governance frameworks.
  • Manage data breaches and oversee incident reporting processes.
  • Deliver training and guidance on information governance best practices.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in legislation affecting information governance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Information Governance / Data Protection Manager should have:

  • Experience in information governance or data protection with extensive experience with ROPA.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, including GDPR.
  • Able to undertake DPIAs, LIAs and general IG advise. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
