Job Description

  • Prepare and maintain accurate project cost reports and forecasts.
  • Monitor and track project expenses to ensure alignment with budgets.
  • Analyse cost variances and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project and programme managers to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and project status updates.
  • Support month-end reporting by reconciling project costs and accruals.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Project Cost Accountant should have:

  • Previous experience as a Cost Accountant or Project Accountant
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with project teams.
