A great opportunity for an experienced Reward professional to take the lead on reward operations, frameworks and processes during a period of organisational change. You'll be the subject‑matter expert across pay, benefits, pensions and payroll governance - ensuring compliance, consistency, and a great employee experience across a complex, multi‑site organisation.

  • Remote working with travel 1-2 days per month.

About Our Client

A national, mission‑driven organisation operating across a diverse range of sites.

They are undergoing an evolving period of transformation and require interim reward expertise to strengthen governance, support change and enhance the employee experience. The environment is multi‑site, values‑led, people‑centric and fast‑moving - with a strong commitment to fairness and compliance.

This interim role is for 12 months and can be based remotely with the expectation of travel to York and South England 1-2 days per month. Fractional work is also considered (3 days per week).

Job Description

  • Lead and deliver reward & wellbeing strategy aligned to business goals
  • Design and manage pay, benefits and reward frameworks
  • Oversee pay reviews, bonus schemes and benchmarking
  • Ensure fair job evaluation, grading and pay structures
  • Develop and drive a holistic wellbeing strategy and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and equal pay
  • Act as SME advising senior leaders and partnering with Finance
  • Lead change projects including restructures, TUPE and transformation
  • Deliver data-led insights, reporting and continuous improvement
  • Champion engagement, EDI and organisational culture

The Successful Applicant

You will be a confident Reward specialist with:

Experience

  • Strong background in reward & wellbeing management, ideally at interim or standalone level.
  • Experience working across compensation, benefits, job evaluation and pay governance.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and pension arrangements.
  • Ideally experience within healthcare, social care or another regulated, multi‑site environment.
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and managing relationships at senior levels.



Skills & Attributes

  • Highly analytical with strong numerical capability and attention to detail.
  • Able to translate data into insight and clear recommendations.
  • Skilled in managing reward cycles and complex pay questions.
  • Pragmatic, solutions‑focused and able to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify and explain reward concepts.



Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel 1-2 times a month to key sites (South of England and York).
  • Available for an immediate or short‑notice start and happy working on a 12‑month interim basis.
